The smooth plastic shell of Philips X800 is pleasant to touch, good shape and compact size (102 x 51 x 11 mm/110 g) is satisfying. The front panel of new device like with most modern communicators and smart phones is a mirror coating.
The sides consist of two closed contours on the perimeter – silver bottom and black top. These contours form broken granite with each other – catchy, but elegant.
The rear surface of Philips X800 is fully removable. There is a traditional battery compartment under it. Interestingly, except black lacquered panels the novelty has two more – gray and brown with a golden hue, the latter is made of nice plastic soft-touch.
The main control unit, located below the display is presented with two buttons that are responsible for the reception, the abolition of the conversation, and on / off power.

The absence of traditional (even for normal phones) joystick or cursor block affects the administration, because there are situations when using the device to control the touch screen is simply inconvenient.
Additional buttons are located on the ends. On the right side there is double volume key, as well as a round button activating the camera. On the left side is a sliding button that locks the phone, which is necessary for a sensor model.
